I am gratified to hear that your problem has been solved! Happily, so has mine, at least in part; one of my revised descriptions has been restored. We'll see whether the other two appear soon.

I agree that these forums are the most reliable source of advice concerning DTP machinations. I think that is so primarily because we are acting empirically, having a vested interest in the results.

Good luck with your pending submission.

Eureka! Somehow they seem to have magically found the missing information. I'm not sure exactly when it reappeared, but late yesterday (Saturday Nov. 8), I checked in again to scout for it...and there it was. Apparently it did turn out to be the "lag" you describe.

I'll soon be uploading a new item to my shelf, so keep your fingers crossed that it will go smoothly and I won't land in "jail" for days on end.

These forums are turning out to be an excellent source of help for me - thanks for responding.

Please keep up posted, Lunisia. Now that prolonged incarceration in Amazon Jail no longer seems to be the automatic fate of those who change their product information, do we have to start worrying about losing our reviews and other data? Let's hope that you are merely experiencing a lag such as we get when we publish a new e-book, and it takes a few days for the product description etc to catch up with its first appearance on the Amazon store.

I have been pursuing this same problem since early August of this year. So far I have received very polite e-mails periodically, stating the following:

"I wanted to send you a quick e-mail to let you know that I'm still researching this issue with our technical team. It usually takes 1-2 business days for this sort of research, but in this case it's taking a little longer. I'm very sorry about this delay. I'll be in touch shortly with an answer for you."

This seems to be a boilerplate response to all complicated questions. The answers never turn up, unfortunately. I hope you have better luck.

I recently dropped the price a bit on my title and have been monitoring it on the site to see when it changed, which happened today. However, although the price was the only thing I changed, I had two very positive reviews on the original listing page which are now gone.

Also missing are the Product Description and other general information originally shown such as sales rank.

Can someone tell me how to get this information back on-site with the title? Surely it can't be that when you make any change, whether or not it has to do with content, all the peripherals disappear?
