Hi - it's okay. This is a Kindle issue. I had a posting down the line, but made my way through Amazon to have a message passed to the Kindle folks. You can address the issue with them by writing to this address:

digtalrights@amazon.com

I had the same thing happen, after I spent hours on a good-sized manuscript. Kindle's upload process pretty much won't accept anything at the moment. For anyone else who reads this, please send an email, to advise them on the problem. Don't make the same mistake I did, in thinking it was my work and undo anything. Save it as it is, and just know that it isn't working correctly at the moment.

I ran into the same thing. Do not do anything with your file to get around this. After I had the same failures with both html and clean .doc files, I tried to put through the last live version of the book I previously uploaded successfully. Kindle upload is having an issue. If you spent the last couple of hours trying to figure out what is wrong with your file, and you've been doing this awhile - it is not your file, or maine. Kindle needs to jump on this, or provide a means to let us know what has changed.

I was waiting for this subject line to appear.

I downloaded the Kindle PC app and finally got to see how my books look on Kindle and I was not very pleased with one, in particular, so I did a slight revision. (Wherever I had an italicized word followed by ellipsis there was a formatting glitch)

Then I attempted to upload the revised .doc file and it was no go.

Same with .html.

Sam with prc.

At that point I figured I'd hold off to see if others were having the same problem.

Ta da!
