umayspeak,

Were you, by chance, looking at the October report? The monthly report resets at the beginning of the month and it will look like all sales have disappeared, but the report is just starting fresh with the new month.

Three days ago my report showed that 2 copies of my book had been downloaded. Today I get the message that there are no transactions within this period. Why the sudden cancellation of the numbers? I am mystified. Please respond. Thank you

Here we go again...and all our numbers way down. This is a bunch of bullcrap, Amazon. If the big guys' books are so great, why do you need to give them our discounts so they can sell them? If the big guys' books are so great why do you have to give them away for nothing? If the big guys' books are so great why do you steal our royalties and sales to pay them with? Surely they must be soooooo great that they'd be happy to let you keep all their sales just for the "priviledge" of being in your Kindle Store.

That's bizarre! However, I can speak to it, hwoever, since we had detailed daily reports when I first published via DTP (November/December 2007). Suffice it to say, we supposedly get daily reports of a sort--that is, updated every day, if you can remember what yesterday's sales were among all your titles--though I am beginning to join the legion of skeptics on this subject.

I've had my first book on DTP for a few weeks now. The first weekend it went on sale, I recorded one sale on the report. Since then, there has been no changes made to the report even though my sales rank continues to change. DTP Feedback response via email was that my report will be available one month after my first book was sold. It will then be updated on the 15th of every month. This does not sound like a report that I can view for daily changes which is what I thought it would be.
