You can specify an author's name for each book in the DTP publishing process. I have books where I am the author, where I am the editor for a named author, and where I publish under a pen name.

Be aware however that the barrier between pen names is rather permeable. An Amazon search for my author's page shows the book written under the pen name.

If you are a 'real' ie non-self publisher you might be in the wrong forum. Take a look at "Publishing on Kindle: Guidelines for Publishers"

http://s3.amazonaws.com/kindlegen/AmazonKindlePublishingGuidelines.pdf

It says in there somewhere "· If you do not yet have a contract in place to sell your Kindle titles on Amazon.com and will be using eBookbase to upload, contact
digitalrights@amazon.com to get a contract."

I can't find a link for that on the Amazon site itself, had to Google for it to find the actual pdf file.

We might be a larger publisher; certainly we're not self-publishing a couple of books. This whole DTP programme does not seem to be geared up for publishing companies at all; yet we've found no other way of getting our titles on the Kindle bookstore.

I doubt it's anything to do with that, triarchy, since that's just your id for the forums. I suspect it's only something that larger publishers have. But you could email dtp-support@amazon.com and ask them. Please post the reply here so it's available for future reference.

Thank you for your reply notjohn,

I temporarily registered a US address so that I could copy and paste the URL address for the US webpage but it still shows me the price that a UK resident would pay.

I presume it ignores the written address I entered and uses my IP address to show me the page.

I wonder if you would be kind enough to paste the URL address for the US page that features my book so that I could paste that URL when I am promoting my book - just to be sure that the correct price is shown when US viewers see the webpage I am promoting.

I know it should show the correct page to US viewers but I am fearful of promoting the UK price and putting customers off from buying.

Many thanks if you can help.

Yeah I have to assume that some people 'purchase' them thinking they are free. I have done this my self and had to ask for my money back. I think my overall return rate is under 2%. But, how many are for actual issues? Such as formatting? I'm hoping not many since I try to be thorough. I would rather produce 5 quality works per day than 10 sub par ones.
