Step 2: Rights & Pricing - Enter or Change Royalty Option and List Price
You can enter or change your royalty option and list price in Step 2 of the book editing process - 2. Rights & Pricing:
Scroll down to Royalty Option to select the percentage of royalties you would like to collect for this title. Please view the List Price Requirements for list price requirements by royalty option before choosing.
Remember that books selected as being in the public domain in Step 1 will not be eligible for the 70 percent royalty option.
Once you have chosen your royalty option for the title scroll down to "Book List Price" and enter your desired list price for units sold on Amazon.com.
If you would also like to sell your content on Amazon.co.uk and have all necessary rights, please confirm content rights in the respective UK territories (Germany, Isle of Man, and Jersey) and choose from one of the pricing options. You may choose to have it based on the list price entered for Amazon.com or a specific amount in British Pounds (GBP). Books sold outside of the United States qualify for a 35% royalty only.

Note:
- To be eligible for the 35 percent Royalty option, the book's list price must be equal to or greater than $0.99 and equal to or less than $200.00. For UK, the list price must be equal to or greater than .75 GBP and equal to or less than 120 GBP.
- A book taking advantage of the 35 percent Royalty option books with a file size greater than 3 megabytes up to 10 megabytes must also have a list price of at least $1.99 (1.25 GBP), and digital books with a file size of 10 megabytes or greater must have a list price of at least $2.99 (1.49 GBP).
- A book taking advantage of the 70 percent Royalty option must have selected"This is not a public domain work and I hold the necessary publishing rights." under the Publishing Rights Status in Step 1.
- To be eligible for the 70 percent Royalty option, the book's list price must be equal to or greater than $2.99 and equal to or less than $9.99.
- Regardless of which royalty option is chosen, a book's list price must not exceed the lowest suggested retail price or equivalent price for any physical edition of the book.
- You must enter a price at least 99 cents Publishers cannot offer free ebooks at this time, but we are reviewing the possibility in the near future. Please check our Announcements section for any updates.
Once all required fields have been populated and you have checked both the publishing rights and DTP Terms and Conditions agreement check box, the "Save and publish" button should be active. If everything looks the way you want it to, select "Save and publish!"
